Rag Quilt Baby Blanket

Hi there, just popping in to say hi!
Still very cold here, and we're suppose to be having really cold temps and some more snow the rest of the week. Last week I was excited to start and finish this baby blanket! {while staying in keeping warm ;) }
It's a rag quilt made out of flannels, my sister and I choose these fabrics a long while back (when I was buying a few to stock up) and I've had them stashed away. So last week I decided to get them out and play!

I've put a few "brights" and "greens" out.....they look nice and springy!

Jerry says hi, and he's getting excited to be a big brother!!

Hubs and I are hoping to do a few gender reveal pictures this weekend!!
Today I'm 24 weeks!!

Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!!
Stay warm and cozy!!

  3. I am working on a king-size rag quilt for my bed...for spring and summer. I was going to use vintage sheets, but my stash needs some more variety. George took me fabric shopping on Sat. and bought me yards and yards of romantic, shabby florals. I have the 110 double layer blocks cut out and am now cutting out the batting squares. I love the sewing part, but the clipping will take hours. Your little quilt is so cute! I have made them for my grands when they were babies. Your little one will probably make a "woobie" out of it...lol!

  9. Oh, so sweet this little blankie is. I have never made a rag quilt, but I would like to try. I look forward to the gender reveal, too! You must be having so much fun. I remember planning for my babies like it was yesterday. My new Molly lays on our son's baby blanket that I made for him when he was born - and he is 31 years old! I just can't part with it!
