A treasured Christmas Gift

Hello there! Hope you all had a most wonderful Christmas!!!
I've been enjoying catching up on a few blogs this evening and wanted to share one treasured gift we got this Christmas. My Grandma Sue (my dad's mom) has been sewing for many years, and started several years ago, giving all of us kids a handmade quilt each year! We just love getting them, and how neat to be able to have in many years to come! We can already see them in the kids' rooms (:  (sometime in the future!!)

Here's the one we got (above) It's called "the card trick"

A picture of me,grandma, and my sister  :)

grandma and dad :)
(That's the one she made for mom and dad, also the card trick)

And here's a few cuties on my mom's shelves :)

I'm still enjoying my Christmas decorations a little while longer, I'll probably be slowly starting to take some down next week. Do you still have yours up?
**Enjoy the Merry and Brights for a few more days!!!!
Wishing you a lovely weekend sweet friends!!!

Teacups and Tree lights

Happy Saturday sweet friends!!
Teacup and Candles = sweetness!
I just love making the all natural soy wax candles in cute vintage teacups! I think it just adds an extra "cute" something!! :)

A while back ago, while we were in Chicago for a wedding, I found this cute "holly" teacup and couldn't pass it up, as I thought it would be perfect with a lovely winter/Christmas scent!

In the evening I had to grab my camera and
play around a little with the pretty lights, here's a few to share:

I just love my aluminum tree, this year I decorated it with silvers and black.

{Christmas day 2012}
Piper and Jerry have their "Jingle Bell" collars on :)
I'm excited to get another picture of them this year too! :)

This picture below we got on mom and dad's birthday,
of the dogs, Jerry wasn't over for that party, but will be for Christmas day :)
(left to right):: Remmy (my sister's dog), Peyton (golden retriever in the back), Piper and Annie
I think they are excited for Christmas too....they always get new toys, treats in the stockings, and bones!

*Only 4 more sleeps til Christmas!! :)
Happiest Holidays and Merry Christmas to you all!!

December 19th

Only 6 more sleeps until Christmas! ((counting tonight))
Here's a few Christmas finds I found the other day, I feel like I haven't had much time to go out antiquing and thrifting, so I really enjoyed it!! :)

I found this cute little tree, always good to have those right!?! A pretty hankie and very sweet Christmas card to "mom & dad" on Christmas morning.
A little pixie next to the gingerbread light up house, in a glass dome....
I couldn't resist taking this picture,
I looked down at my coffee and my cream made a heart shape! Too cute!!

I got this cool ceramic Santa boot, a few little candy canes,
a paper stocking, and those cute head spun gift tie ons.

 Oh yes and this!
I thought this stocking was the cutest, so I had to snag it! I'm not sure if it's actually old or how old it is, but it was too cute to pass up!
I had to pay a little for this vintage tinsel, but I'm so happy I did and have some now!!
I've been really wanting some!

And a peak at a kitchen shelf, as you can see it hold many things, several sweets, jellys, and different coffees, that's in the old Ball and Mason jars at the end.
Happy Friday tomorrow!
I just made a batch of fudge tonight and I will be finishing up my Christmas shopping for the hubby with dad tomorrow morning! Hope you have some fun Christmas festivities planned for the weekend!!
Christmas Hugs!

Joy Garland & Holly Tags

Happy Monday!
I can't believe its already the 16th of December!!
Here's a little "joy" garland I made for my mom. I used vintage Christmas cards.

I thought it turned out cute, I was inspired by Elizabeth from Creative Breathing. She made a cute mitten garland using vintage cards and it was so sweet!

Mr. Jerry had to get in on the photos too!

My mom gave me an early present (so I could enjoy him all the way up to and after Christmas) Isn't he the cutest!! I told my hubby he needs a name! As he sits in the basket and watches us eat at the table each day! :)  *I also put a handful of variety nuts in a little vintage green bowl in front of him.

So I had to make some of these super cute "Holly" tags for a few of my gifts this year! I've seen a few different ones floating around, and Jamie over at Raising Up Rubies sells them in her shop, you should head over and see if she has any left! They make adorable tags!

I for some reason don't have very many red buttons, so I just used some red pom poms! I love how they turned out!! :)

Wishing you a lovely week!!
Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas!!
