Oh electricity is so nice!

Hello!
Seems like it's been a while, since I posted. Looking at my blog its been a week today!
We had a busy weekend, we did get a batch of homemade strawberry jam in on Friday night! I was excited for that, we've been eating peanut butter and jellies like crazy! I actually went back Monday morning, strawberry picking with dad this time, and got some more to make another batch. I like to give them away as gifts too! :) Monday evening we lost power, we had a big storm come through and we didn't get it back on until last night (Wednesday) around 8:00 o'clock. Not having power really really makes you appreciate it when it comes back! And having running water too! Luckily my parents have a generator and let us come take showers.  You would almost think well that would be a perfect time to ..... sew or work on some things, but it seems like almost everything you do, you need some sort of power or some water to wash your hands!   Lol. Not to mention normally when you lose power its very cloudy, dark, and rainy out through the whole day. But I did get to work on my crochet throw some. Here it is:

Since this picture I've gotten farther but it gives you a peak of what it looks like : )

Last week I moved into my larger booth space at the shop {exciting!!}
I made this 8" hoop along with a few other things to put in it. It was made with a vintage pillowcase, that I actually thrifted a few weeks ago, vintage lace, and a handmade crochet flower. I thought it would be cute for a little girl or even a baby's room :)
And a few more pin cushion keeps :)

Hope you have a lovely day!
And you have power! (There's some around us that still do not)

Happy sweet Thursday! & DIY Bird Bath

Hi there! Happy sweet Thursday!
Tuesday and Wednesday I rode a couple hours in the car with my mom and grandma to go visit my cousin and aunt. It was a wonderful little trip, and so nice to see the family, never a dull moment, we had a lot of laughs :)

Here's my 'NEW' bird bath......
I made it from a lamp shade upside down and bought a pretty light fixture last time I was at the auction :)
And just set it right inside! :)

I listed this pretty afghan blanket in my Etsy Shop

It has just gorgeous and sweet colors, I almost just want to keep it :)

A new garland I added to my booth at (Uptowne Shoppes in LaPorte, IN)

Thought it was so cute blowing in the wind, and somewhat a little patriotic too!!

I had a girl from work order this cute custom giraffe softie.
I thought he turned out pretty good!
She wanted him pink, and when I found these colors I just thought it looked like her! :)

Hope you have a wonderful day!
I think Luke and I are going to pick strawberries tonight!!
We got all the things we need to make Strawberry Jam .....I'm excited : )

Wishing you Big smiles for the day!!!!

Good Morning!

Good Morning! Happy Thursday!
I've been busy feeding the horses, putting new bird seed out, watering flowers, and tending the garden!

While drinking coffee out of my new Strawberry cup :) Isn't it just so cute!
I thrifted saved it a couple weekends ago Here.

Here's another quilt, I'm going to be putting for sale in my booth.
It's freshly laundered, very soft and cuddly!
And the back side is just as darling as the front, Light purple with white polka dots :)

On one of our recent Menards trips, Luke and I bought a new cute rose bush.
Isn't she just gorgeous!!!
I'm excited to plant her on the front side of our fence.
I've been seeing how you can dry the rose leaves and put them in your
tea and there's many other uses too!

Hope you have beautiful day!!!

Easy Eats~ What's Cooking

What's been cooking?

We made these easy-to-put-together sandwiches,
wrapped them in foil and put them on the grill.
You will Need:::
Loaf of bread, (we got ours from the freshly baked area at the grocery store)
Ham, Turkey, or Chicken breast ....your choice
Green Peppers
Onion
Mozzarella Cheese
Tomato

*** You can add Mayo or a honey mustard***
~ We didn't this time, but you can always just dip it after the sandwich is cooked too!
Wrap in foil, and put them on the grill for about 7-8 minutes.

They are very tasty!!! Hope you give them a try! :)

Another thing we have cooked recently that has been very tasty,
Kabobs!
As many know you can spice these up however you want to, adding all sorts of things!
*Different meats, no meat, different veggies. I've been hearing about a lot of grilled fruit, so that might be next pineapple and peaches :)
Are you trying anything new lately?

Wishing you a beautiful day!

Weekend Finds// SCORE!

Hi there! Happy sweet Friday!
Already the weekend again! Last weekend we went to a church rummage sale and I found sooo many goodies there!! Then we went on to do a little garage saleing and found a few more goodies!
 Here's what I got!

Aren't these mugs too cute!?! I think I came to a conclusion that i'm going to sell them in my booth (unless someone on here wants them) $5 for the pair + shipping. And look at that sweet baby wrapping paper!

I was so excited when I came across these pretties!! I have so many ideas for using some of them.
....Hopefully I can get around to one of those projects soon! :)

  I thought these were neat.
The package says 1961 Flora Coasters and Stirrers
*again if anyone was interested in these ( I'll be putting one or both in my booth )
$2.50 each + ship.

Oh this little lamb! ....Isn't he the cutest!! :)

And love my new Strawberry cup! It's just perfect, for the season is just around the corner! To go Strawberry eating picking!!! One of my favorites!
I got quite a few new laces and a couple bindings too! Luke actually spotted the scrabble game and I was super excited!! I've been on the look out for one for a while now!! :)
How cute are these old McCall's patterns!
I was really liking the red gingham prints on the one on the right side!

OOH BOY! And I found some wonderful Christmas goodies too!!
Some very cute tiny vintage ornaments in the old cigar box and I was excited about the "outdoor" lights in the box still!! It doesn't seem like they were ever even used! I'm not sure if the work, I didn't check yet.

Thank you for visiting and taking time to look!!
I'm always oooo and ahhhhing over your treasures you find, and I was sooo happy when I found this load!!
Happy weekend!! Wishing you a lovely one!
Are you doing anything fun? Or going garage saleing?!?

Pin Cushions

Hello, Happy Wednesday!! I've been wanting to share a few of my
pin cushions I've been making. And here they are!! For the the smaller ones I put them in to a vintage jello mold cup. Aren't they cute!! And I used vintage buttons for the centers.

A couple of the molds I picked up at a barn sale, I was pretty excited to find them because I already knew what I wanted to use them for! And then a sweet lady that owns a small business in our local town, gave me a few too, after seeing a couple pin cushions that I made!! So nice of her! Her little shop is called "My Great Aunt Lucy's," its a vintage boutique.

*  *  *
I've listed a few in my Etsy Shop if you'd like to take a look! :)

Hope you all have a wonderful day! It's beautiful and sunny here, high 76 today.
Lots of errands to run later and I need to clean the house!!! Lol.
