Hello there! Hope you all had a most wonderful Christmas!!!
I've been enjoying catching up on a few blogs this evening and wanted to share one treasured gift we got this Christmas. My Grandma Sue (my dad's mom) has been sewing for many years, and started several years ago, giving all of us kids a handmade quilt each year! We just love getting them, and how neat to be able to have in many years to come! We can already see them in the kids' rooms (: (sometime in the future!!)
Here's the one we got (above) It's called "the card trick"
A picture of me,grandma, and my sister :)
grandma and dad :)
(That's the one she made for mom and dad, also the card trick)
And here's a few cuties on my mom's shelves :)
I'm still enjoying my Christmas decorations a little while longer, I'll probably be slowly starting to take some down next week. Do you still have yours up?
**Enjoy the Merry and Brights for a few more days!!!!
Wishing you a lovely weekend sweet friends!!!

Beautiful quilt! I was slow about putting up Christmas decorations, but now I am trying to figure out how to make them Valentines decorations! I love the lights on these dark winter days. Hugs, Linda@Wetcreek Blog
ReplyDeleteFun new something for your happily ever after...the decorations are staying up at least one more week here; Thanksgiving was late. We deserve to have our Christmas colors a little longer.
ReplyDeleteHolly, aren't Grandmas the best?!! Since I am one...I know! I will be transitioning to Winter/Valentines in the next few days. We're going to Vegas for New Years, then on to Disneyland for three days...yay! But I want to have a good start on getting things done before Tuesday. Love the beautiful colors of the quilt.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely tradition! The colors in your quilt are the best!!! Decorations have to stay up a few more days... I'm guessing I will gradually take them down.
ReplyDeleteYour treasures always make me smile.
ReplyDeleteOh my, the quilts are gorgeous and so much work. What wonderful treasures. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous quilts! Nothing is better than a special gift made with love! Great photos of your family, obviously enjoying a wonderful Christmas! I plan to just leave the little white lights on the porch up for some pretty sparkle, but started putting some things away.

ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful quilts. What a special treasure from your grandma. Such a sweet picture of you, your grandma and sister. I loved seeing all the decorations on everyone's blogs. We probably won't start taking them down until next weekend. I'm want to enjoy everything a bit longer.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt, and a wonderful tradition your grandma has created for you. I still have my decorations up, and will probably leave them up for a little while longer. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteTrue treasures indeed!
ReplyDeleteThe quilts are amazing!!! What a special special gift!!!!! You tell your Grandma she doesn't look a day over 39!!!!! WOW!!! I think she should be writing a book : ) Sending hugs to you ...yours and that special little guy Mr. Jerry!!!!! The best New Year ever to you!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have been given such an amazing keepsake to pass down through your family! All of my old quits should have been heirlooms to someone but ended up at the flea markets and estate sales I've purchased them from. Yay for me!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
