A cheerful day

Hi there! 
Last week I found a wonderful easy tutorial to make a skirt, 
over at Blondie Blu. She inspired me to attempt my very first one. In her tutorial she used a pillowcase and I didn't have any at the moment that I wanted to use for a skirt so I found this pretty fabric in my stash!  Let's just say I learned a few things on this one :) lol. I am wanting to make another, I might cut up some material from a vintage sheet for my next one. :) 
For the pocket I used a dolie, on the outside of the skirt.

The birds seem to like splashing around in the little compartments. 


I was oh so excited a couple of weeks ago when
 I went to check the mail and found this very sweet box there!

So many cute vintage goodies inside :) :)

    Isn't it fun to MAKE something!? It's so much more rewarding to craft and have something to show for your time! Merry Christmas too, what a treat to open!
