Valentine Decorations

Happy Monday!!

Wanted to share some Valentine decorations and maybe some inspiration for you, that's around in our house.

 I decided I wanted to make the buffet simple. 

With just a few touches of sweetness here and there.

I remember last year when I got this sweet vintage planter horse at the thrift, I was so excited! He's just adorable! :)

A January Blessing

Hi sweet friends! Hope you're doing well! 

I took this picture our flag yesterday morning, it was so beautiful!

As some may know already from facebook, my hubby was involved in the bad accident on Interstate 94 Thursday afternoon, on his way home from work. You can see it here. 

We are both so glad and "thankful" he's ok, here, and able to basically walk away from this awful wreck. Our thoughts and prayers are with the other families. He had x-rays, mri, ct scans done and nothing was broken and all his organs were ok. Just bruising, some swelling, and whip lash. His car is messed up, one of the back windows bust out too, it will probably end up getting totaled. We're just so thankful, I think his guardian angel was watching over him! :)  So with this happening we've been just staying in and taking it easy. In fact we just got done making some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies! Yum! It looks like a complete white out outside right now, what a winter we are having!! And some negative temps back on there way tomorrow. Everyone stay warm out there!!

How do you do?

It's already Thursday, seems like it came fast this week! I've been keeping busy with some orders. I had started this scarf before Christmas in hopes to get it done for my mom, but didn't finish it until the first week of January. But she loves it! I made it with the Chicago Black Hawks colors, her and my dad love going to the hockey games! Have you ever been to one, it will change they way you see hockey, that's for sure! They are sooo fun and exciting!! So here's how it turned out....

I'm enjoying my little Valentines around the house, are you yet?

 I decorated a bit early, I just couldn't help it! 

Loving all the pinks and pretty reds! 

 And for the past few days there have been about three squirrels out my kitchen window, close to the bird feeders, but not messing with the feeders. I think they are eating the seeds on those helicopters that fall from the trees (i'm not sure what they are really called, that's what we just call them! lol)

But they are so funny to watch and cute too! I couldn't help but take a few pictures out the window! 

I have a few orders to finished up on today, but first I'm out to feed the horses!

A Little Valentine Craft

Hi there! 

Poppin in real quick to share this cute Valentine craft I made last week, as I'm taking a small break from crocheting!

 It's a domino! 

I used a couple Valentine images from a paper bag I had from last year, cut them out and glued them on. I had a few jewelry pieces and attached them to the back and used some red tinsel for the hangers!

What do you think?? 

I was super excited about my idea, I had in mind to make a lot of them, but I don't know? lol....

Fingerless Mitts

Hi there! Happy sweet Friday! (evening)...lol.

I said I was going to show you my pair of fingerless mitts 

I made myself, so here they are! 

They are a dark raspberry color and 

 I added two cute little buttons

 to give it a sweet touch.

I guess you could say that i'm "hooked" I love these, and they seem really popular right now. I actually was wanting to make some before winter/Christmas, more like fall when I was taking engagement pictures for my sis, and it was a bit chilly.  "I was thinking some fingerless mitts would be wonderful!" So a few months later.... I discovered how to make them! I've had a few people wanting to order some, so that's what I'll be working on over the weekend!  

I've found a few different patterns that I like and would like to try! I'll have to let you know how they turn out! And maybe I'll be listing a pair or two in my Etsy Shop?? (:

Lots of snow!

Well if you're not sick of seeing snow pictures, here are some more!

I'm so enjoying this! ((But soon enough I will be ready for warm spring weather, that I know we won't get for another few months! So why not enjoy this beautiful snow right!?!)

 I think we got 20-24 inches, in some parts of the yard, it's over my knees, this makes it very hard to run to the next picture taking place! Lol 

It was -14 out when I had to go outside to take a few pictures!! 

It was so beautiful not to! (I was bundled up!!)

Jerry hasn't been able to stay out long at all, just enough to do his duties, his poor little paws freeze up in no time.

I got some pretty new buttons to play with!

I used a few on my fingerless mitts, that I will have to show you next time!!
