Chocolate chip, Cherry Blondies

mmmm....
I found these wonderful treats over at Koralee's lovely, sweet blog: Bluebird Notes
Thank you for sharing these!! They're so good, easy to make, and you can add so many different variations of fruit to them. I choose chocolate chips and yellow cherries (that we already had frozen) I'm excited about making another batch, maybe with blueberries this time around :) :)

Oh...
and they were scrumptious with our cups of coffee, on our cooler rainy day.

I made a ruffled bag and put in my shop ((at Thode Floral in LaPorte))
The ruffles turned out ok....I love ruffles, but I need some practice.
Any tips or hints to give a gal? :)

Hope you have a wonderful rest of the day!
I'm off to make a pot of tea and some dinner :)
Hugs XO Holly

SALE SALE SALE :)

I decided to have a special sale in my etsy shop. Of 15% off of everything. One because it's still summer but going to be coming to an end here soon, I was thinking maybe I should do like summer15, then it being August and all I decided on "August15" and plus its my birthday month too. July and August are probably my two favorites out of the summer months, because they're normally really warm and nicest weathered. Except this year was like over 100 everyday and could barely seem to do anything outside.

I'm looking forward to decorating for fall, going to pick those nice crisp apples and a nice coolness in the air.  To cuddle up with those warm drinks and blankets.  Oh and we can't forget going to all the fun fall festivals too! mmm...fresh apple cider sounds pretty good!!

It's much cooler today and rainy here, I think i'm going to go work on some projects///new things/// while doing some much needed laundry and sipping on some hot coffee or perhaps maybe i'll have some tea...that sounds good too!

Hope you have a wonderful day doing whatever it is, and don't forget to go to visit my shop and use "August15"

Thanks for visiting today :) {Smile}

Pictures from the auction :)

Hi there friends! I just wanted to share some photos
with you today on this wonderful Monday morning!

Here's a few pictures from the auction, that I snapped.
I loved these metal baskets, I didn't end up getting one this time though. Just thought
this was a pretty picture, with the colored drift wood.

This "Ideal" did come home with me!
I was soo excited when I seen this old wash tub. I actually just had caught it at the very
last minute when they were auctioning it off too! They were holding it up in the air and from across the way we seen it and went flying over in that direction. I've been wanting one to put outside and plant flowers in, but I was thinking it would be pretty cool inside too. It's nice that it even came with the lid, so I could use it as a table and store quilts and blankets in it? :) :)

This was such a cool and neat little store we
went to after the auction was over. Thought this
fireplace mantel was cute.
Pretties :)

Oh yes! My cart! ....I've been wanting one for a while, to use as a coffee table in our new room we just redid.(Which I've been meaning to post some before and afters on....maybe we'll get to that by the end of this week! lol.)  I plan on lightly sanding it down and cleaning it up a bit. :)

 Thought this was too cute!!
I was thinking of all you lovelys that have made all those beautiful tags out of vintage book pages.

Some of our pile ....lol

Then I also got some drawers from an old sewing machine thought they would be great to stash some fabrics, buttons, or lace in :) :) I put them up on the railing to dry after washing them out.

It's always so much fun going to the auction with my parents and husband.
My mom and dad love it, and love antiques, I think if they could they might go every week! haha.

Hope you have a happy Monday!
8 years and 2 months today my hubby and I have been together! :)
I can't believe it's already August! I do love this month though, normally really nice weather, a good nice month before fall hits, and my bday is this month too! :) Yay!

Fabric Organizing Baskets

I've been busy making some of these fabric baskets, for organizing "stuff."
I made a few for myself, and a couple girls at work wanted me to bring some in too. I have a small list of a few orders to fill. And I would like to make a few extra to put in my booth uptown :)

They're just so handy! You can use them for so many things, besides just putting sewing notions in them.
You can use them as drawer organizers, put your hair pieces/clips/bobbys in, silverware - or even at the table for a place setting, I think the possibilities are endless! :)

Wishing you a lovely and creative day!

Happy Monday!!

Some new earrings and vintage brooch flowers
I put into my booth at Thode Floral, in LaPorte, this past weekend.  :)

I found this cute little vintage ironing board, and had to pick it up!
Does anyone have one like it?

Out thrifting I came across these sweet little post card/notes. I first just seen the box and got excited of what could be inside, opened it up and waalaa ....these pretties!

Old sewing drawers will be great to stash some fabrics, buttons, or lace in :) :)
I put them up on the railing to dry after washing them out.

Andddd.... my Mr. Jerry! He loves playing!
I don't think we could ever play enough!

He was watching me out the front door taking pictures :)

HA... this squirrel was too funny! I watched him out my window,
climb down the tree, look around on the bench, and then he just got up there and plopped down!
"Take'n a rest!"
I went got the camera took a couple, then went and got my phone....took one on there too. He stayed there for a while! Too cute!

Happy week to you!!

Bird Feeders made out of vintage china

My Vintage Bird Feeder:
A few posts ago when I showed you some vintage china {HERE}  that I had found, I had some bird feeders in mind .....

I made one for my friend, for her birthday.
I think they are so much fun! When I get a little spare time away from sewing, jewelry making and life, I want to make some more. :) I love how they look out in the yard, hanging for the birds, so pretty!!
*~*~*~*~*
Here's another set of dishes I picked up at a little shop uptown....called "Up Town Shops" :)
I first saw them and got soo overly excited, seen the price tag and thought "Oh I have to have these!!" :) Then I seen in the booth, a sign that said everything besides jewelry was an extra 20% off!! I couldn't believe it! I was soo ecstatic with happiness!! Now my first thought was, these would make some beautiful bird feeders and so many other things.....after I got them home....well a little bit different story! LOL. I can't put holes in them, they're too pretty! SO I decided to wash all of them up and use them as our dishes for now. I just put the others in storage for a bit. :) And these are the ones I used to set the table with too, in this post.

Last week I received a very pretty package from Donna's Lavender Nest

She has so many beautiful prints in her shop! :)
Thank you so much Donna!! I just love them!
I'm thinking I'm probably going to have to go back! haha.

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!!
So glad its the weekend!
Hubby and I have a date Saturday~ we're thinking about going to the beach, want to go to a craft show{it's called Hometown Days} and out to dinner, maybe we'll rent a movie too. With summer, seems like its been a while since we watched one! :)

Baby Boy Rag Quilt

This was a custom order for a baby boy rag quilt I received from a friend.
{Thank you again} :) ~Smiles~
The quilt was for another friend (that I also know too) for her baby shower. It was at the beginning of this month actually. I believe she's due in September! {Congratulations!}
Both of them had seen another I had made similar to this one, but it was for a little girl. And loved it, so she wanted to get it for her best friend.
You can view that one HERE.

I love making these, they're so fun and cuddly :)

Thanks for visiting today!
Hope you have a very happy Monday!!

Wishing you with creativeness today :)
HUGS~Holly
